I have had some luck resizing with Irfanview. Made my last cover with a Createspace template that allowed me to save and use off my computer. (Createspace really needs to get with it on options and creative variations for covers... it's not like they aren't making any money off us... but then, they are owned by Amazon who's quickly becoming King Of Greed.) I used a photo purchased for a few dollars off of Dreamstime stocks images.

In response to another thread, I have posted this for everyone. I hope this will help a few people out who are struggling to format their cover correctly for free in high resolution 300DPI(+) for Createspace.
