That doesn't make it invalid. Only Kindle editions have ASIN and any book might not have a picture.

#430 and 435, If your post has not been responded to, you have to reply to it to bump it back up to the front of the line as some get missed due to the high volume of posts. It is easier to change something than to merge editions. The edition with ISBN was not the default but it will be now after I merged the empty ones.

I was trying to upload a new cover picture that I had revised but clicking the "Upload Photo" button created a duplicate before I did anything else. That seems like a terrible user interface design. Would appropriately be better labeled, "Save Changes to Duplicate" or something else more appropriate.
There doesn't appear to be a way to delete nor can I separate it from the good copies of the book.
Can you please merge The Playboy (correct one). The other one is listed under the other Cara Wade, with one space. I have 2 spaces in my name.Thanks!

The button you seem to have clicked was not 'Upload photo' but 'Add an alternate cover edition', which does indeed create a new edition where you can then upload the new cover.
In the future, please don't remove all information from the edition. This is considered vandalizing and is also very confusing for librarians who subsequently have to sort out the mess.

As for vandalism, it is my book. I was working with the tools I had available to me since Goodreads doesn't deem me fit to edit my books. It wasn't a real book, it wasn't anything useful.
I appreciate whoever fixed it at any rate.

That is a valid edition and will not be deleted. If you would like someone to help with giving it a cover, please post in the Book Cover Help folder with a link to the book here and a link to it on Amazon:

It is unfortunate he spelled his name the same as mine (but I include my middle initial Q on all my covers). I am merging the duplicate. However, the book has an ISBN, a publisher, etc. so it was a valid record. Only Goodreads employees should delete books that were scheduled to be published, but weren't. Due to it continuing to have a valid book "status" on Amazon and other places, they would be hesitant to delete it, especially if there is even a remote chance that it is published one day.

This thread is exclusively for deleting duplicates that require a superlibrarian, so it is the wrong thread for your request. Please post a new request in the Book Issues folder, taking care to copy and paste the complete link.
And please post future requests in the Librarians Group instead of in other discussion groups, as this is the right place for them :)

Dear Lethe, thank you for your answer, but I do not see why I should include my proposals of corrections here rather under the title "please delete this book" rather than in a French group, where at least Super Librarians have a keyboard with French hypenathion. I am not asking to delete any book but to make corrections, mainly replacing presentation of the book in not-French language by the presentation in French by the French editor. As far as I can see, there is no thread for that in the Librarians Group page, but a thread "Erreurs à corriger" was created (not by me) in the Francophonie Group and validated by two French Super Librarian (what I am not and would appreciate to be in order to make the correction process more efficient). Thank you for your understanding.

You can start your own thread "Erreurs à corriger" here. Since I get the impression the two librarians in the Francophonie Group cannot keep up with all your requests, it is better to post them in this group, where lots more librarians are active.
