yes. It was like a trap but for what end? to see the feelings of Aelin? or to made her hesitate?

If Chaol did recognise Aelin, then I think the fourth chapter may be written from his perspective (though in third person, obviously), with him lingering somewhere nearby as he feels that he can't leave her alone with Arobynn. This way, he'd hear the disruption (view spoiler) and run to her aid (like she'd need it!) and thennnnn, once it's over, Aelin will finally learn about what's happened to Dorian *sniffle*
I don't know. I imagine a theatral meet. She goes to the apartment and when he finds Ren, beginnt a battle, that will be stopped by the entrance of chaol, who will make the presentation of the lost lord. and then she asks apoligized for what ren has sufferedsomething like that... more theatral indeed

oh no.. i think they will collaborate to save Aedion. And after that...Arobynn K.O. to get the necklace and to honor the grave of Sam with the Fae's song. in the 5th book i imagine a travel around the continent to find alleys and to discover how to destroy the towers.

I was thinking the exact same thing :) That way we can meet the characters from the novellas again! Although I think they might already destroy one of the towers in book 4.
I too thought of her finding Sam's grave, if this happens I will not be ready for the tears! I agree with the theatrical meet. I had a feeling all of her reunion moments will be theatrical. The Arobynn one was quite like how I imagined it. Casual at first, but there are hidden intentioned. I pictured a lot of bickering between Chaol and Aelin after they encounter one another. I too think the 4th Chapter may be Chaol's POV.
Can't wait for Chaol and Rowan to meet though!! I too want Chaol to see her tattoo
I'm getting very intense emotions just thinking about what will happen just imagine when it does happen.
Same here Priya! Tissue boxes will be needed for sure for this book. I can't for all the fight scenes and battles!

My poor Dorain, don't know how Aelin would react if she found out about him. Remember the only way to save someone from being possessed with a necklace is by beheading them?? NOT READY FOR THAT. There has to be another way.

Arobynn needs someone with a collar to question him. Once Aelin saves Aedion, and when she will see Dorian with the collar, I think maybe she's going to kidnap him (if that's possible) to bring him to Arbynn. It's the best way to get Dorian far from the king. What do you think ?
That's idea that was floating in my head too. But I don't think Aelin would ever willingly deliver Dorian to Arobynn.
I think she would try to protect Dorian from both the king and Arobynn
I think the moment Aelin sees Dorian with the collar will be the moment she will betray her word to Arobyn to bring someone with a collar.
I have to agree with Léna, just from hearing that something occurred in the glass castle, her heart was beating hoping it wasn't Chaol or Dorian. She'd never betray them, she despises people that do such thing. Plus, she promised Dorian she'd come back for him. She wouldn't dare give him to Arobynn.

The guy in chapter 67 I think was definitely C̥ͦh̥ͦḁͦo̥ͦl̥ͦ because it says "The man pulled out a lovely blade, its eagle pommel glinting in the first light of dawn." Chaol's sword, no?Then it talks about how he has another sword which is ancient and it came from a time when there were good men and noble rulers (Damaris, no?). Then it mentioned he was a traitor and a liar. Definitely C̥ͦh̥ͦḁͦo̥ͦl̥ͦ I think.

Exactly, that's how Arobynn works and I think that's the only reason why Chaol seeks his help. He was desperate and didn't know where else to go, he wanted to help both Aedion and Dorian.
I'm confused about this person Elide. Some people are saying she's really Lysandra and some people are saying she's really the girl Luca was talking about in chapter 11 (what do they have anything to do with each other)?And who is Nesryn Faliq???
Also there were some other comments on Celaena handing Dorian over to Arobynn for his collar or something (what's that about)???

Well Serena. Elide was a girl from Aelins' childhood when she lived in Terrasen. Actually the daughter of Lord Lochan and Lady Marion. We all think she might come back in Queen of Shadows, and its the reason for so many theories about it (obvs none confirmed).Nesryn Faliq is a new character from QoS that Sarah posts a lot in her Throne of Glass pinterest board.
Lastly the last few comments you are seeing about Arobynn and Aelin are just because the first three chapters of QoS have just been released (and are AWESOME).

No she will never betray Dorian or Chaol! But a alliance with Arobynn to save Aedion and Dorian is not unthinkable. She has not anymore her immortal strength and to save Aedion she needs more than a "army". She will do this at every price, also at Arobynn's price. But to cast a demon with these onyx necklace.. this will be fun!!! Maybe with the help of Chaol and Ren and the mysterious woman.. Amazing to imagine every next movement.. but I need the book now!
I just saw on goodreads that Queen of Shadows is 704 pages long !!Maybe Aelin will find out about Dorian from Mort. He probably knows what happened that day at the castle and besides Chaol also told him how Aelin will find him

so that merchant that Celaena met in Xandria, the one that gave her that little bit of of Spidersilk as a reminder "That everything has a price." I believe that we are going to see him again and that he is going to be a character of importance. I believe that he was mentioned not one, but twice in HoF. Once when Manon went to go steal Spidersilk from the spiders and they mention a man who had sold twenty years of his life to buy Spidersilk from them. Which the Merchant had told Celaena that was what he had paid to buy the Spidersilk and that the only way that he could have get those years back would be if someone killed the spider that took them.. which I think Manon may have done. I believe that he is also mentioned another time by Aedion as the Merchant from Xandra who had spoken to them about Magic leaving the country."It wasn’t until six months ago, when they’d been lured into the city by Archer Finn’s lies about Aelin’s reemergence, that they’d started considering magic—contemplating ways to break the king’s power for their queen. Celaena also told him to look her up if he ever returned to Rifthold. He also is in Manons debt IF she did indeed kill that spider... which means he could look twenty years younger.

Ooooh I want to see Ilias fight too! And yea I agree with Anna that Mr. Spidersilk Merchant has got to be somebody... Really hoping we'll learn more about him and some of the other minor characters.

Ok.. After the three Chapter of QoS I'm convinced: Chaol is a completely different character. At the end of HoF we saw his drawing the line but how is he changed we don't know yet! Ok, the scene of the sword in the river was strong and the words "oath-breaker,liar,traitor" too heart-breaking. But he's a rebel now and all these pictures in pinterest of a man above the roof in Rithfold, remembered me of him. Holy cow! He met Arobynn! I never could imagine something like that! He has lost everything und will fight for the hope for Dorian for the all continent. He's not Chaol, who we've known in the other three books, just like Aelin isn't anymore Celeana. I'm so excited to see the development
Yes! Everyone's characters "evolved" as one may say. I do like how Maas develops her characters in each book. You can really tell the character's growth and how there's more to them than we thought we knew. Both Chaol and Aelin's conversation should be interesting and I cannot wait for it! They both needed this growth, for the better. Whether they end up together in the end or not, is something I'm not sure of anymore. But then again, I was hoping she'd focus more on herself than who she'll be with.Still can't get over those 3 chapters
