I'm drowning in grading my finals!! I'm sure I won't start till at least Saturday. And I'm babysitting Saturday plus going to get a tree with my daughter. But tomorrow is the start of my break AFTER two finals. But them I have to supervise a basketball game at work. Lol

I'll join in on this buddy read! I read Unwind forever ago, and I have had the second book sitting on my shelf to read for a long time, so I'm glad that I will finally be able to get the chance to read it!

I like the questions at the beginning of the book. if I hadnt just finished Unstrung, they would have been extremely helpful in refreshing my memory.

Yup I found it pretty easy to remember what had happened in the previous book too. Think the book's intentionally written that way, esp since it was published years after Unwind.

Is it just me or is this book taking a long time to read? I know I'm tired, but I feel like I'm taking forever!

Finished Part I finally! Maybe because I'm so tired but it's such a slow read for me. I've actually finished Part I and Ch. 4-6 of Part II, but this will only address Part I. I kept reading for a sprint.

Starkey sure has (view spoiler)[a way about him. I normally might not like his personality type, but since he's cornered I am glad he has his ways to get out of trouble with these guys, like Lady-Lips. LOL (hide spoiler)]

I would DIE if (view spoiler)[I had to be nearly hermetically sealed inside a coffin and with some stranger, too! Ugh!! (hide spoiler)]

Miracolina (view spoiler)[is a bit snotty, or is it just me? But I love her name and that she tries to be positive about her "purpose" in this world. I can't imagine having "nine fraternal twins" out there. LOL And that they were all created for the same potential purpose is so strange. But I can see a parent doing that if it meant their child's life. When they were "kidnapped" she showed her true colors. She's sassy but strong in character. (hide spoiler)]

Cam is the most (view spoiler)[depressing story for me so far, only because "sweet" Roberta has NO compassion for him whatsoever and he is PIECED together. In reality that would be far worse than death! I really feel for him. I can't imagine feeling like Frankenstein himself. It must be so frustrating for him to try finding the right words he wants. Do you know who the girl is that he wants to see? (hide spoiler)]

Connor really has (view spoiler)[a lot on his shoulders. I don't know if he is naive or if Starkey is just a really good liar/manipulator. The one thing I really like about Connor is that what he does, he does it for the kids. He's not all about himself. (hide spoiler)]

I understand how Risa might feel like (view spoiler)[she isn't desirable, but poor Connor fearing his arm with the shark tattoo having a life of its own. That would be awful! (hide spoiler)]

At this point I can't (view spoiler)[ STAND Starkey. I don't know his exact plan, but he is obviously up to no good and probably to ruin Connor. (hide spoiler)]

I'm charging my NOOK now so not sure how much, if any, more I'll get read tonight. My eyes are literally crossing. But at least I got a decent chunk done today.

Surprise, surprise. I am behind. Haven't had much tiem for reading physical books. I am almost done part one. I can't wait to find out more about Lev, Connor and Risa.

I read a LITTLE more. Last time I marked it my progress I was at 26% but I got to 31%, so I haven't read much.

Part Four

Lev(view spoiler)[ YAY!!! Lev's back in the story. Okay so it seems like the 1.5novella doesn't take place in between books one and two but rather in book one during the time that Lev disappears from the story.

Wow, all of the adults in this book seem so manipulative.

And Uhoh. How is Lev going to escape Nelson. I am really worried about him. (hide spoiler)]

Risa(view spoiler)[ for some reason I expected her to be more accepting of Cam. Not sure why but still. It's nice when a book follows a path I didn't see coming.
