Z-squared | 8575 comments re 119, if the covers are different, then we do NOT merge. As for copying over the ISBN, it may be that one edition was published without ISBNs. They weren't in universal use back in 1956. If you can find an acceptable online source that shows the isbn-less 1956 cover associated with an ISBN, then we can change that record accordingly. And if that ISBN is indeed the same as the second edition you linked to, then we can note it in the book description.
