I finished the novel by Nancy Peacock The Life and Times of Persimmon Wilson which was incredible. Tragic yet historically fascinating; really a love story told by a former slave about his quest to regain his life in post-Civil War years, leaving the Louisiana sugar cane fields and heading west to Texas.I also finished Flight Behavior by the monumentally talented Barbara Kingsolver. If you can only listen to one audio book this season, I HIGHLY recommend this one, or anything read by the author in her soft, Kentucky accent. SO SO good--always astounded by attention to detail and characterizations.
