I understand why his father told him that magic was bad because of the kill the child part of the story. I wonder why his father wasn't able to heal him fully. Still, it's kind of amazing for a book to have a character with a disability - it's rare. He obviously has a kind heart towards animals. (hide spoiler)]

prologue-chapter 4 (view spoiler)[The prologue was veri intriguing, the last phrase was captaviting and I'm dying to know more. I like Call, it reminds me of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, as character, while the book remind me about Harry Potter, too, but for now I'm liking it! (hide spoiler)]

I'm three chapters in and I have to agree with Mickey. It seems like it'll prove to be interesting story and the two authors writing style seems to blend nicely.

Me too! I really like Holly Black, but I'm not a big fan of Cassandra Clare, but they're good togheter!

chapter 5-10 (view spoiler)[ I was expecting something more from the Magisterium's description, but it seems an intersting place! And I like the ideas of the wristbands and of the trial. The first one was intersting. And I liked all the strange snacks and drinks.
Also the scene in wich Tamara picked up her bowl and turned it upside down on Jasper's head was fantastic! (hide spoiler)]

and sorry I've been travelling a bit and wasn't able to write about the previous chapters..
so I am not going by chapters but just in general..
(view spoiler)[ soo it is going a bit slow for me but the story seems interesting and catching.. even though at some places like Cal being chosen even though he is last are a little cliche, there are some scenes that I really liked like the battle with the weaverns and Cal, Tamara and Aaron getting lost after losing the map... these scenes are really catching in my opinion.
Another thing is that I really got confused when Alex came into the picture because we don't know anything about him but ofc being my fangirl self I really like him..
and as cliche as it goes I expected Cal to be the Chaos guy but SURPRISE now Aaron gets all the praise :D >

also the paradox that the baby wolf turned out to be - Chaos but a good one, I mean what?
so far I like the book so much, even though it was a bit bland to me at the beginning.. I wonder what other plot twist have Cassandra and Holly made at the end of the book :D I just hope it won't end on a cliffhanger! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ OKAY I TOTALLY PREDICTED THAT PLOT TWIST OH MY GOD
CAL AND CONSTANTIN THE SAME PERSON?! WHAT???
Anyway it seems like Aaron and Cal will remain friends even though that is physically impossible.. but everything is sooo well written and I don't actually understand how Cal doesn't remember anything from Constantin's older memories..
and I am kind of mad with Allister because he knew all along and did not do everything he could...
Even though it is kind of sweet how a person whose kid isn't even his kid wants to protect him and still be his father even though he actually isn't....
As bad as it sounds I am sure this is going to end on a cliffhanger and I don't know if I am going to be able to wait years to read the last book of this series.. everything is just too good!

And Costantine history was intersting and I completely fall in love with the wolf puppy, aww *_* And Havoc it's a fitting name! I loved it! I hope nothing bad would happen to him. And Aaron the Makar? It's intersting... so the main character is, for once, the side-kick, at least for now. I like it, it's original! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5 (view spoiler)[ I like Master Rufus, he kind of reminds me of Lupin from HP. A lot of this is similar to HP I think. Though I'd say Call is more combination of Ron and Harry than just Harry. I really want Call to give the school, Aaron and Master Rufus a chance, rather than blindly believing whatever crap his father spewed. I think Call would like the Magisterium if he gave it a chance. (hide spoiler)] I have a feeling that Tamara is going to be a badass too.

Like come on, it's obviously in the cage for a reason and should not be let out for any reason. Also, I think Call's going to end up being a chaos mage which is why his father didn't want him to go there and now that he's there he doesn't want him to have access to his magic.
