A truly spellbinding delve into the darkest regions of humanity. Excellent

Steve Parcell | 912 comments I have put it on here before but 3 books for me scare the pants off you because allegedly they are true. The Exorcism of Anneliese Michel, Hostage to the Devil and "Haunted" about the Smurl family

Aw, that's a truly great book - lest we forget some monsters are real.

Jeff | 1131 comments I recommend "City Infernal" or "Messenger" both by Edward Lee. City Infernal has a very, very terrifying and horrifying look at the way Hell could be. It makes you want to be just a little bit nicer in this life.

Messenger looks at something that cant jump from body to body with atrocious circumstances.

For one of the most disturbing book, though not horrifying but incredibly disturbing with a Lovecraftian feel to it is: "Going Monstering" also by Lee. Do not read before you get a good feel for his writing style from at least two other novels. lol No really.

Hi Jodi! Does your library have a copy? Also, be warned, after I read The Girl Next Door, I was so disturbed by it I didn't read any other Ketchum for years. Truly upsetting.

I lucked out and found a copy at my local used book store. I had no idea how difficult that book is to find! I suggest checking eBay.
