SOLVED. Novel about a woman who worked in a cruise ship. [s]

Hello, I am searching for a novel i read in 2012, it was vaguely about a young woman who worked on a cruise ship who has went missing, her friend who also worked on the ship has (if i remember correctly) thought she has seen her on the news and wants to identify her.
The missing woman was attacked while out and off the ship and is rescued by a couple who take her and keep her captive in their home, i dont want to spoil the rest but any help is appreciated!
The author of this book is a woman i just cannot remember who or the title!
