Hi Everyone!
Hope you all have had a wonderful summer so far. I thought it would be fun to try and beat this heat by transporting ourselves to a new environment. August's book will be No Exit by Taylor Adams. No Exit centers around four strangers trapped by a blizzard in a remote setting. I can't wait to read all of the twists and turns that I'm sure await in this novel. Happy reading!

-Do no drive in a snow storm
-Always have food and water in your car
- Make sure your phone is charged and have your charger with you at all times.
-Don’t stop at a rest stop, in the dark, in a storm, alone!
-Don’t make assumptions about people.
-Perhaps have some type of self defense weapon or knowledge of how to make a weapon? :)

This was a fast paced thriller that kept me interested until the end. I appreciated the main character not being a typical horror plot whiny dumb female. She was sassy, clever and determined., just what the hero needed to be. The intense action and choices in the book make you ask yourself “what would I do?”
The villain was perfectly psychotic, complex and also exceptionally clever. I enjoyed the game of who would outwit who. No Exit was dark, edgy, fast and just how I like my thrillers.

I agree 100%! No Exit was a nail biting thriller. Once I started reading I could not put it down! I loved the main character Darby. She was flawed, tough, and had a big heart. The back and forth between Darby and the main antagonist were very much like a hero and a super villain.

The twists thrown at the end had me surprised as well. Just when you think you have them all figured out something new gets thrown into the mix.
