Hello everyone!

After exchanging several emails with my incredible co-moderator, Lynn, we have decided that we will be stepping down as moderators from this group. Lynn will be posting her message soon, but my reasons for leaving this group (I believe) mimic hers.

Even though we have over 200 members in The ML Challenge, less than 20 occasionally comment, which means most members are silent in the message boards. I moderate other groups that have an incredible amount of activity and I feel that is where I need to spend my time and energy. Further, I have become very disgruntled with the ML list, finding a majority of the books to be just meh. With so many outstanding books out there I want to read, I just keep putting these ML books on the back burner. I am also guilty of not reading or commenting. It's time for me to bid farewell.

That being said, if there are members who would like to keep the group alive, we are certainly willing to turn it over to you instead of simply deleting it from goodreads. Please post if you would like to become a moderator and one of us can add you before we exit.

Thank you again to those of you who joined in and chatted about the ML books! I hope you can understand why I need to pass this group on.

Yay, Shawn! If you re-confirm that you are willing to take on the moderator job, I'll delete Stephanie and myself and add you instead. I know it's time to add a book(s) for next month, so we do want to get moving on this.

I've put a poll on the main page regarding the group's reading speed (one book per month or every two months etc.). If you haven't taken it already, please do so.

My question for those of you who voted that it depends upon the size is this: At what size should we extend the read to two months instead of the normal one? 500 pages or greater?

I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
