I can get: 1 with a non-Caucasian main character with Shadow Rites and 9 with a character who lives on a farm/ranch with Flame in the Dark.

Re: aunt tilly - I don't think we can use books started before the end of this week for next set of task. Right?I see you gals were busy reading while I was busy with life yesterday. Looks like you've moved on to a new word. Guess I'll go find a audio to listen to. If I can get the right ones I should be able to get two done before clock runs out if that's what we need.

I'll have Sommersgate House finished in a couple hours. I think we can use Elizabeth for the E. Even though she's called Lizzie throughout, she is called Elizabeth a few times.

Another fine round ladies. This will put us at 38 books, we can only read 40 anyway to stay in our category.

I have looked at the leaders of our category and it appears they've go strategic, getting maximum points by spelling "in" or "on" exclusively. They get 40 points per letter and they do it as many times as they can. Though it's not as exciting as spelling SCANDINAVIA.
I'm going to add Sommersgate House to the ss then go to bed. I've got an annoying cold.
that is a lot of O, I and N books. It is much easier to fit books into words like Scandinavia then only having three options for letters while still trying to read books for other challenges.

But because I didn't have it available on audio it has been a slow go. My other reads that i have read didn't fit what we needed .(

OK...Sorry been a bit MIA. I did find a book with brown text and the required letters in title. So getting that started on way home. It is a shortish cozy, so hoping to make quick work of it.
