Trying to do that on the screen of my tiny iPhone SE was quite the test in patience. I swear my fingers normally don’t feel that fat.

I've come to my senses and realized that I should not use a 450+ page book for the countdown when I don't have to! I got so excited when I saw that Sorcery of Thorns would fit the "4th of the month" that I didn't think about the length. I'm still going to do that task, but I'll replace the book with one of three other [shorter!] books I found that will work. Haven't decided which book yet.
Then I'll just read Sorcery for SZ3 when there's more time. :)
I probably have books for 9 and 3 which are still open. Those 2 are pretty easy to find so I assume that's why no one else has put something in there and we're going on whomever has the time first.

I added a book for Countdown Task #3 because I expect to finish my other 2 books tonight & tomorrow morning, respectively, and can read another between tonight and tomorrow night (or by Thurs morning at the latest).BUT if anyone else can finish another even faster, and cannot do the remaining blank (Task #9), please feel free to replace mine. I will check in again here before I start the book, anyway.
I may be able to cover more slots, I didn't want to reserve them just in case others reached faster. I'm almost done with one of mine and should finish tonight.
@Megan and Erin:Are your respective edition links of Zorba and Part-Time Indian correct?
I am trying to get ahead of the game a little bit so I don't have to bother you later :)
I had to switch mine just now> I thought I had it in paperback but couldn't find it last night and realized I actually had it on kindle. To make it worse, I forgot my paperwhite at home today so wasn't able to read any.
Does anyone have a short book for the Farm/Ranch task?I do not. Everything I was considering is either not available at, or is checked out from, the library :(
I might. I didn’t scope out anything too short but I can look through my Kindle books tomorrow. Not sure if I could get it in before Friday. But have an Elks meeting tomorrow night.

I've got it covered ladies. No worries.
Meanwhile, I will still finish my book today but a couple hours later than I thought. I got picked as a “class delegate” at my daughter’s school and had to attend a long training meeting all morning. I will finish during lunch. 😑
That sounds like more fun than my evening tonight at an audit of our Elks lodge. Although, at least this year, I can claim ignorance since I've only been the secretary for a couple of weeks and had no training.

@Megan, just realized this is still an open question. For Zorba, the print link is on the spreadsheet(s) but you have it shelved as ebook...
I am looking forward to starting Sorcery of Thorns after our last countdown book is done. Fun Fact: The HC that I got via Inter-Library Loan is stamped “Property of US Army” and comes from a military base. Good to know our soldiers can sometimes kick back with some nice YA Fantasy! 😄
Nice! I will get everything on the spreadsheet ASAP.I assume we have until the end of the countdown (whenever that is) to fix any lingering edition confusion too.
And we can start our Zone 3 books, yaaaaay!!
I filled in some more books in the spell out. I have a quiet weekend home alone planned. Covering a U and a Y.
I am getting, slowly getting over my reading rut by getting into re-reading some ones I already know I enjoy that are easy reads.
My I book got repossessed by the library so I switched it out for a book I need for Bookshelf Bingo. Works for C too if someone has an I book they want to read.
That sucks. That happened to me recently, but luckily it was a book that I had already decided not to read for Lava at that time.I haven't gotten much reading done today because of how much time I've been spending on Tower Teams stuff. I need to stop and get back to my books!
I have a feeling we are all going through that.
Are all 4 of us on different teams, or are any of you together?
We are all apart. But yes I think we're all getting read for that. I have my books planned and several I'm wanting to start but have to wait for
So I'm getting lots of audio book and Kindle reading to me time with the insane amount of running around I've been doing between my daughter's school, my job as Elk's Secretary and wedding stuff. Added another Y book to the sheet. I filled in a lot of extra names for this one because it works for so many. Feel free to move it if that word isn't going to get finished or a Y pops up for someone.Starting my other Y book next since that word has all the spots claimed.
Sounds like you have even more going on than you originally expected even with the wedding! It’s nice that you can get some books in too, just for your own sanity if not for this challenge 🙂If anyone cares (which you might not, since we finished the Countdown Tasks a while ago), the Floor will be Echidnas on Thursday morning. They sure gave everybody a long time this Round!
At least we won't get singed hair - hopefully - for being in the pit too long this time.It feels later in the week to me. I keep having to remind myself it's Tuesday

I've got the same problem. I was freaking about about a presentation for a meeting that isn't until Thursday. Most of the morning was spent cramming that thing together, my brain thinking it was Thursday.

I can't shake off the feeling that it's later. It really feels like Thursday. Irritating.
The Elks Secretary job is abnormally busy right now because of the yearly audit and the regional head Elk visiting. That all ends tomorrow night. Plus I don't know what I'm doing yet so that doesn't help. And I could make my daughter fend for herself but I like going there and taking her grocery shopping. We usually have lunch at her school.
I'm almost done with Magic Fury, should finish it tomorrow morning. I added a re-read of one of my favorite series (3rd book) to the planning list to re-read before it's released Friday (planning to read it Saturday, can't wait). I will get Whiskey Sour done before the weekend. Hopefully also on Cricket Hunters. I'm in a reading mood and these hard books, but I need to get to it and speed up lol.
Has anyone got anything short for U?I think it’s the only open letter that nothing else on the planning spreadsheet can be moved into... :(
I don't. I'm maxed out with book planning right now and can't add anything at this time. I'll keep an eye out for U's in my current books.
I think I can find a U book to read instead of the book I had planned for R, but won’t be able to read both.We could then move something else into that R slot, and move something else into *that* book’s slot. It all depends on which word(s) we think we won’t be able to finish.
I might even end up removing the two words that are already on the main spreadsheet if we need any of those letters back in order to achieve better value. Probably have to decide by Fri, unless anyone has plans to add more books over the weekend.

All finished words are now on official spreadsheet. We have one word to go.
I will check again before I go to sleep in an hour or so but @Megan, if you don't finish until after that, are you able to add the last word to the official spreadsheet? It looks like all links in the planning spreadsheet are correct so it should be just a simple cut&paste job from Cells 48C-F & 49C-F.
