ABANDONED. Crime nonfiction Three volumes: early forensic science, crime solving from 1800 to modern day

The books in question were true crime related. They focused on early forensic science and crime solving. The books I had, I believe, had a blue cover with a collage of photos on it. They weren't so much a set as a group of books, each published at separately times. The tales ranged from early1800s to modern times.
This is all I can remember about these books, I hope someone knows what I am asking about.
