I think for some of them they just made up new words. If you think about it words like Hogwarts are also made up but it's still hilarious. And confusing at times. lol.

Finished (view spoiler)[ I love the puzzles they have to get through in the tunnel, so much fun! And Neville getting awarded for standing up for himself was sweet. This first book is more fun and ends on a sweet note which I love. The later books are good too but so much darker. I'm going to start this and hope someone will join in. My kids got the illustrated editions for Christmas, and I wanted to re-read this series this year, so it's a perfect time to read these beautiful books! I'm loving the illustrations and it's so wonderful to re-read this series!!

It's been years since I read these books, but honestly, I remember the start of this series so clearly! Maybe it's because I've seen the movies a few times since reading the book, but the first two chapters were so vivid in my mind and I remember everything!

25%. This is a reread for me. I read the books when I was little and then again maybe 6 years ago. That was before I’d seen all of the movies though.
(view spoiler)[ I also like that about Harry. I like how he asks Hagrid questions immediately rather than just finding out little bits of what’s happening at a time. He feels more like a real kid.
