ahh no he's not! Sorry Jack!! lol - for some reason i just assumed that this being an Australian-based group/magazine, it would only attract Australian authors (but we are of course happy to have authors and readers from anywhere in the world!!)
The Rosie Project by Graeme SimsionThe Tea Chest by Josephine Moon
The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta
The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough
Eyrie by Tim Winton
I have a few suggestionsLaurinda by Alice Pung (YA)
The Promise by Tony Birch (short stories)
The Night Guest by Fiona McFarlane (mystery)
When the Night Comes by Favel Parrett (contemporary)
What about Tall Man: The Death of Doomadgee which is a Non Fiction book by Chloe Hooper or A Fortunate Life by A. B. Facey and I am half way through Patti Miller's The Mind of a Thief. They are all quite similar genre's with a focus around Australian History and are memoir/ creative non fiction but super interesting :)

*Note - Books can be in any genre, any age range (YA and up) but MUST be by an Australian author
