Jason Komito (JasonKomito) | 6 comments So I've been writing book 2 in my series Sapphyrefor a while now and have a question regarding the beginning of the book. (I don't write in order) The book is epic fantasy and I'm wondering what people think about where to start with chapter 1 in book 2. I know it's a general question and mostly opinion. I can start the next day as if no time transpired. I can start a week later and pick up there. I can start a new story line altogether that is part of book 2. I can start with a big battle that was brewing in book 1. Just looking for some feedback. Thanks!

Charles Garard (goodreadscomcharles_garard) | 142 comments If it is part 2 of a series. I would make a reference to book one without repeating part of book one. That's what I did in my trilogy. It can be a conversation with elements from book one included or even an interview (which is what I did in boos two). There are different clever ways. You can judge what is most effective for you.
