I've been a fan of John Scalzi for a long time now and part of his appeal is that he is shamelessly pro-gay and has included gay people in his books in very straight forward ways. His new sci fi book includes a gay couple. While they aren't a huge part of the book, they are pivotal plot and the fact that they are gay and married is presented in a completely straight forward way that I really appreciated. The book itself was pretty good, if not great, but if you like sci fi it's worth checking out!
