Please let us know what you want to read! We’ll be choosing the next several books before the meeting on July 30th so we can have copies ready to go. We’d love to read books that cover a variety of topics from diverse authors (both fiction and nonfiction). Give us your ideas below!

The Lost Children Archive by Valeria Luiselli
Pachinko by Min Jin Lee

Jane | 49 comments I have Reincarnation Blues on my list as well. Beth -- you were reading It. Do you recommend?

Also on my to-read lists:
1. Near to the Wild Heart by Clarice Lispector
She was a Brazilian author in the 60s/70s and her work is getting new attention as it is being reprinted in translation. She is like Virginia Wolfe, in a way: stream of consciousness, feminist, etc. I have read several of her books in the past year and am smitten.

2. A Ladies Life in the Rocky Mountains by Isabella Bird
A rare woman "explorer" . She wrote about her travels to Japan and other places. This one's about our space.

3. The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead
This guy has won too many awards and I haven't read him yet

4. West with the Night by Beryl Markham
Woman pilot who flew a lot over and into Africa. Part of my African Stories Project.

I did read Reincarnation Blues and hated it. Haha. Started out loving it though. It was a strange one!

Underground Railroad is on my list too.

Jessica | 14 comments I'm interested in all of the above! Also, Mike's been reading The World's Fastest Man by Michael Kranish and he says it's really interesting (bicycles, racism, US history and such).

We'd love to do poetry in September so any suggestions for that one? Also, is there any interest in reading the Fort Collins Reads book The House of Broken Angels? The author will be in Fort Collins the first Sunday in November.

Em | 1 comments For poetry, I would suggest American Primitive by Mary Oliver or Bestiary: Poems by Donika Kelly. Both collections have a little bit of a creepy/autumn vibe.

Also thirding (?) Underground Railroad.
