To be a series on Goodreads, books need to have more than a common theme -- like characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc. What makes this a series?

T. | 743 comments They have a shared universe and they definitely have characters in common too

Since both have different criteria than Goodreads does, that doesn't prove it's a series by Goodreads standards.

The author's site says the books have characters from some of her other series. Not necessarily in common with each other. The commonalities are "millionaire woman, alpha men, and happily-ever-afters". These don't make it a Goodreads series.

T. | 743 comments Rivka, the millionaire women in the Blazin' Love Series are best friends, they have each other's backs and are certainly in all the books. Heck, the FMC in Book 6 introduces her current boy toy (MMC in Book 6) to the 'Guys' in the Epilogue of Book 5. All of the friends show up at the FMC's house and roust her from bed to drag her to NYC to try to convince MMC to give her yet another chance.

T. | 743 comments Quick question, if it wasn't a series, would all the covers of the six books say Blazin' Love Book with whichever number it is in the series?

That is the kind of detail I was looking for. That works.

Again, that is proof the author and/or publisher consider books to be in a series. Not that they meet Goodreads criteria.
