How do you choose what to read next?

So many books, so little time! So what draws you to your next read? Some read strictly within genre, or by author only. Are you sold by a book's cover? Are you swayed by back cover blurbs? I tend to rely on a few favored book critics; though in a library, we get many good read leads from our patrons, too.
