I have yet to get a response or interest in anyone providing a review. Is there anyone out there willing to read and critique my project?
Here is my query letter, explaining the book and its purpose. Thank you ahead of time for your consideration in reviewing this labor of love.
John D. Zoller (me) and Dr. Tom Wallace are the authors of this book.
The vast majority of people in our world today have strayed away from reading, learning or experiencing the Bible due to its reputation of being hard-to-understand, its enormous size or its seemingly out-of-date vocabulary. As a result, many opportunities to bring people into the faith are misrepresented, many new Christians are overwhelmed and give up on their faith completely when circumstances are not ideal and many long-time Christians are left uneducated and inexperienced. This moderates the victory that God has made available to us all and leaves us unfulfilled and frustrated. So how does the person who’s interested in learning about the Bible come to terms with this? What is the solution? The Story of Glory has finally answered this age old question.
The Story of Glory is a unique and new approach to the Bible, using its themes and stories to transform its hard to understand writings into simplified, entertaining and memorable experiences. Its purpose is to familiarize the new Christian to the once daunting task of learning the Bible, introduce the non-Christian to the Word of God and to serve as a stimulant and teaching aid for the seasoned Christian. It can be used for a number of purposes but its main objective is to make the Word of God available in a more modern and simplified way. It is unique in its approach by using a rhyming form of poetry to assist the reader in committing the message to memory and to maintain their interest. The Story of Glory can be used in a classroom setting, as a ministry tool, a guide to assist Christian parents in teaching their children about the Bible and countless other purposes.
The Story of Glory has two authors; John D. Zoller and Dr. Tom Wallace. John Zoller, a new author and Indianapolis native, came up with the initial idea and spent over two years writing the Old TESTAMENT portion of the book. Dr. Tom Wallace came into the project at a later date after Mr. Zoller shared a copy of his completed work with him. He then spent a great deal of time and dedicated effort to complete the New Testament portion of the book in the same form of writing style incorporated by Mr. Zoller. Dr. Wallace is an established author and well-known Pastor who has a flawless reputation.
