Non-Reading Challenge (MMC 2019)

I got 3 characters. Gonna work on covers when I get to my desktop. One is easy???? All seem hard..

I've given up on finding any of the characters, it's just not gonna happen. Hopefully I can still get most of the covers though!

Guys, as a retired veteran, all I'll say is:

Google is your best friend for this.

I've spent like an hour on google and goodreads and not found a single character. And I though I was pretty decently at google-fu too haha.

that's exactly why I skipped this challenge this year. I'm way too busy at work, so no time to go hunting

The person (or more than 1 person) who gets the most points wins, but everyone will take points which they've earned toward the overall MMC scores ☺

I've gotten 2 characters and 2 covers so far lol. There's so many that are just on the edge of my brain but I can't put it together. Definitely going to have to do more research! lol

They are usually posted on a separate, locked thread, so that this one can be used for venting frustration when the covers are too hard to find.

I've got all covers by now :) I was just reading tre e description of cover 6 to my boyfriend and then suddenly I knew it! Try reading aloud is my tip 😂

Okay, so three books I found by randomly scrolling through Goodreads, one I found by telling boyfriend the description and the last I found because I got lucky - I happened to walk by the book at work (I work at a library!)

The character I found was no. 5 and it was through googling :)

I know number 3 because I actually read that book. I have spent 30 minutes googling number 1 and nothing right comes up. Do we get hints like last year? It is difficult!!!

Yes you get hints but you lose points each time. :)

I resorted to trawling through every blog post (three years!) looking at covers. Eventually paid off with one that was eluding me but I knew I'd read it. Then it occurred to me that there might be alternative covers...
