unfortunately I don't remember much. I do remember that there were three kids (probably siblings) who meet a scientist. the scientist gives them "thinking caps" which can transport them to this other world and the leader of that world (who is some sort of creature that i always pictured as sort of moose-like because of the way the author described him, like he had horns, etc.) wants the scientist to build him a wife? it was very descriptive and colorful. my third grade teacher read it to us and I absolutely loved it. I got it confused with A Wrinkle In Time so it's something along those lines. any help would be appreciated, thanks!

another thing i just remembered is that i think the leader of the world was a creature that's name started with a W?
also i was in third grade in 2002-2003
