I read this book within the last 5 years. Its about a highlander chief who goes to a church where he kidnaps a woman who is being protected by the church's sovereignty, because he likes her. The minute she steps off the protected land he goes off and carries her off on his horse. We find out later that it was his brother and the priest conspiring to get them together. That all I remember.
