Mine was Salem's Lot. It was back in the early eighties, I was a young teen, and had just managed to make through the entire David Seoul version--gave me nightmares for weeks. I loved, and was terrified by that version of Barlow. Needless to say, I immeadiately read the novel and have to say I was a little dissappointed that Barlow in King's novel is more of the the generic, ala Dracula vampire.
