To all fellow Faust freaks, I thought I'd read most of the Faustian literature but decided to do the obvious and search Goodreads and look at the list they came up with. Lot's more fun lies ahead for me.

The shortest version of Faust I know of was by the band Backstreet Crawler that Paul Kossoff formed after Free (All Right Now, etc) broke up.

Jason Blue

One Gloomy day in 1942
A man by the name of Jason Blue

And cried "Satan, bring some pleasure to my life."

Satan stepped out from a ball of fire

The preacher fell from grace
As he had to have a taste
