Christina Teilmann What does this have to do with "Catching Fire"?

Christina Teilmann Isn't there some other forum for those kinds of games, rather than here, a site for discussing books?

Christina Teilmann Can I not what?

Christina Teilmann I do understand your point, and I’m not saying there shouldn’t be any of those kinds of games at all. Especially not if some of them actually do end in discussions about books. Or even if they’re remotely related to writing, like for example the “continue the story” game (very remotely, admittedly), that’s also fine. But there’s just WAY too many of them, and many of them are utterly pointless and has nothing to do with anything book-related at all (like for example the “last one to post is a winner” one), so many that it can be difficult to even find proper discussion topics. For example, on the first page of discussion topics for The Hunger Games, 14 out of the 26 topics is some game, a few of them relevant to the book, but most of them not. Can you see why I might find that annoying?
Also, what does it say about a book and its readers, if people would rather play some game than talk about the book?
