A question for members about the Scavenger hunt

I plan these hunts pretty far in advance. I read a book in 2018 that had such a wonderful assortment of unusual words in it.... I haven't used it yet, or even planned to use it. There are so many possibilities I'm having trouble winnowing the list down to 15 main words and 5 challenge words.

So ...

How would you feel about a 6-month CHALLENGER SCAVENGER hunt?

The words would be harder to find, of course, and there would probably be 50 or more words in the list. But you'd have six months to find them.

Please weigh in on this possible challenge option.

I like that idea. I like when the challenges are a little harder, I feel like I really accomplished something when I find that elusive word.

Shall we mention 'white elephants'?

Good question .... the "Challenging" Scavenger would be in addition to the regular monthly scavenger hunts (which I have planned through April 2020!).

Okay ... I am going to start a 6-month scavenger challenge with the new year. It will last January 1 thru June 30. Words will be randomly selected from a variety of sources ... and I'm making sure there are no duplicates with monthly scavenger words as well.

I plan to get this posted right after Christmas.

YES! I would more likely do a 6-month scavenger. I have better success with longer duration challenges.

I love this idea too! Missed it originally. I just wish you would accept past tense lol I find so many of these and can't use them. But a 6 month challenge sounds good in addition to a monthly

Denise .... I've considered this because I have also had this issue. I'm going to allow more flexibility in the 6-month challenge.

Speaking of which ... I'll post that shortly....
