Midoriya is facing issues with his quirk, do you have any theories as to what it might take for him to fully come into his own with it?

Nat (Notably Nerdy Nat) (notablynerdynat) | 10 comments I love Aizawa's character so much, what an icon. I'm also super excited as an anime watcher to go back and see where class 1-A started from in their journey and their capabilities in controlling their quirks

Lauren Evatt (peerlessscarred) | 38 comments I want to see Izuku's solution for his quirk. I'm intrigued by Ida and their teacher, Aizawa is already making me laugh. I'm excited to see everyone's abilities in the next chapter.

Shane O'Sullivan | 8 comments As All Might indicated in the chapter, it will take Midoriya some time to get acquainted with his quirk. This was a fantastic decision on Horikoshi's part, because I personally wanted to see growth for Midoriya. Not 0 to 100 in quirk strength.

I remember the first time I read this wondering how Midoriya would get through this trial by Aizawa, given that he seems so harsh. In fact, Aizawa has always reminded me of Kakashi Hatake from Naruto, and I'm sure many of you will think the same. I believe Horikoshi may have cited somewhere that Kakashi was an inspiration for Aizawa- who happens to be yet another great character I like. I know Horikoshi definitely has a love of the Naruto universe.

Dominique | 34 comments I think it will be a lot of trial and error with this. I think he needs a lot of practice and training so he can better control his new quirk. This will also allow his body to get use to this new great quirk.

Yes there are a few characters that have Naruto vibes in this story so far. I feel like a lot of shonen manga do though. Hopefully MHA will have a fresh take on the character dynamics.

darkestelement I think Midoriya will have to work and train hard so he can learn how to control his ability.

message 8: by Kit (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kit (thebirdofinferno) | 35 comments Oof, yeah, poor boy’s gonna break. He’ll probably need to figure out how to consider it a part of himself instead of a new piece that isn’t his yet. But that’ll take some time. Aizawa doesn’t seem to be giving him that time.

Yesenia Leon | 6 comments Maybe the more he uses it the better he gets at regulating it. Like his body gets used to it. But he is running the risk of his body not being able to be cure so quickly and dying.

message 10: by Eyla (new) - rated it 3 stars

Eyla (efflyn) | 5 comments I think Aizawa realises how behind Izuku is, he's only got so long at the school and it was by a hair he got in. He's got potential but that won't get a kid through that school course. Izuku doesn't have the 10 or so years everyone else has, I'm looking forward to seeing how that pushes his growth as a character
