Pre-Read/First Impressions

[A Long Story]

It's July so we are excited to read this new pick, A Smoky Mountain Mystery! It is going to be so exciting to read a novel that takes place right here in our home! Let us know who is joining this month's read, why you're interested in the book, what you think of the first few chapters, your hopes for the story and characters, etc. It will still be a NO SPOILER ZONE. I am definitely taking part in this read. It isn’t something I’d normally pick for myself so I like to read outside of my comfort area sometimes. I am currently about 20 pages in. So far it’s good, not great, but good. It is a very light and easy read. So far I have found Jack and Pam to be super unlikeable. Jack seems like a terribly bossy and independent husband that walks all over Pam and she just lets him haha. If he treated me that way he wouldn’t need to wait on anyone to make him disappear 😂 The writing itself again is not great, but it’s not bad either. There are a few typo errors/grammatical errors and some sentence structures and wording are a little confusing. It makes me think that it possibly was not professionally edited. Which there is nothing wrong with that at all. I give big kudos to authors who can do it all on their own! It is an easy read and quick read so it shouldn’t take me long to get through. I hope possibly that there is more character development going forward and that we hurry up and get to the story!😂
