July 3-in-1 Challenge: Julyl 1-31

New challenge for July! Let's read our own books and clear out some shelf space.

1. Pick the book you keep meaning to pick up but keep passing because, well, shiny! Squirrel! New book just released!
2. Pick the book you look at and think 'that seemed like a good idea at the time . . . '
3. Pick a book about a billionaire.

Add your name below and list these things:

1. The 3 books you plan to read
2. The format and genre of the book

Come back as you complete the challenge and add in details about your books - i.e., a jpg of the cover, your rating, etc.

Feel free to crow if you totally smash this challenge with more than 3 books.

I have quite honestly been going down my iPod book by book as they're listed alphabetically and knocking them off. I'm determined to get thru these books I've had forever! So far I've hit the challenges with these:

1. Book I kept meaning to pick up - The Gravity of Us (Elements, #4) by Brittainy C. Cherry Loving Mr. Daniels by Brittainy C. Cherry both by Brittainy C. Cherry. I've had these forever and kept skipping over them, but I finally read both. Of the two, I think I liked Loving Mr. Daniels better - which is a student/teacher forbidden romance. I didn't find it very believable but it certainly was entertaining. The narrators on these books were just so-so.

2. "Seemed like a good idea at the time. . . " I picked up Cooper's Charm (Summer Resort, #1) by Lori Foster and DNF'd it out of boredom. It may be just bad timing in my mood reading. I also DNF'd Just My Type by Tara Sivec by Tara Sivec and Hitched Volume One (Imperfect Love, #1) by Kendall Ryan by Kendall Ryan because they were too graphic and because the language in Just My Type. I have my limits on those kinds of books.

3. A book about a billionaire. The Baby Arrangement (Life, Love and Babies, #1) by Samantha Chase was a quick read sitting there on my iPod, narrated by Coleen Marlo. Meh. It was about the head of a company (billionaire? Maybe) who gets a baby dropped off at his office and the customer service rep he recruits to be a nanny. It was a bit over the top, definitely rushed, and Coleen Marlo did this book zero favors. I have other billionaire books (also, the DNF'd one above, Hitched) so I may try another of those that's been sitting in my iTunes for forever.

There's more of July left, so hopefully I'll get some others read.
