book about a young girl who falls in love with a guy named tam and she gets pregnant. but he is owned by the dairy queen and she has to save him by holding onto him as the fairy persession rides by a creek in horse back. they have a child named tamsin (I think) and she stays in a little cabin in the woods near her parents, hiding from the fairies until they get up the courage to save Tam.

Oh yes, and he had gone with the fairies at one point because I think he was an orphaned or lost child and ended up being glammered and eating the fairy’s food - which is how he kind of become “owned” by them. I remember there was like a chase or something through the forest. I believe it was a YA book. I’m not entirely sure. I read it 18 years ago.

There's a ballad called Tam Lin about a woman who rescues her love from the fairies. There have been a number of books about it. Possibly it's Tam Lin, by Susan Cooper. Tam Lin Or by Jane Yolen. Tam Lin Or others.
