Does anyone do Reading Challenges? I am doing the standard one from Goodreads to set an annual goal of number of books to read in a year, which I have done for several years now. I upped my goal to 70 books in 2019 and I am on track to make it.

I am also, for the 2nd year, doing the Summer Reading Challenge by Early Bird Books. Last year they chose 6 categories, this year there are 7. I have 2 left to fulfill but I have a book picked out for one of them. The last category for me will be “Mystery or thriller by an international author”.

How about you? Do you do Reading Challenges? Why or why not?

Gina I'm actually doing the standard goodreads of number of books to read in a year and I'm 9 books behind!! I want to read some good fast-paced and short books to make up for the challenge.

I started doing the reading challenges a couple of years ago. I guess I do it primaritly to hold myself accountable for scheduling me time. I think I am going to do only 30 next year though because I need to start holding myself accountable for more excercise.

Femmy | 32 comments I only do the Goodreads Reading Challenge because it's just about the number of books you read and you can fulfill it by reading anything. I don't do thematic challenges because I have so many books in my TBR pile! If I do challenges, I'll never be done with the pile!
