SOLVED. Suspense/Thriller book about Illegal Venomous Snakes [s]

I read a book several years ago that I cannot remember the title. It was a book about a killer who also collected/owned illegal venomous snakes, kept/kidnapped people and held them captive in his house and towards the end, he released the highly venomous snakes from other countries into a state park, I can not remember how the book ends.

I think it was between 7-10 years ago. I think one of the people was a child and I think it took place in California or western us. It was a male who had a lot of illegal dangerous snakes in his home.
