Is The Road to Oz
acceptable for option 3, animal on cover? The Cowardly Lion is on the cover and is of course an animal, but I wanted to check (the book meets SRC requirements for children's books). Toad & his friends from the cover of The Winds in the Willows was approved and this is on the same wavelength. Thank you.

As long as the book meets SRC requirements than it's approved by me. Enjoy!
Jen wrote: "OK for option 2? The Marriage Plot
"The description doesn't seem to include anything about an actual wedding being central to the plot. Therefore I am going to say no. Sorry.

Thanks, Patricia!
OK, for option 3, at first I discounted the book Of Bees and Mist because the ruling was that insects didn't count and bees are obviously insects. But then I looked at the cover of my book, and darned if there isn't a deer on it! But it's really, really small. Here's the cover:
The deer is on the left side, standing on top of the highest level of the vine, sort of south-west-west of the word "Bees" in the title. Can you see the deer? Does that count?

The word bird is okay as long as it's stand-alone and refers to the actual animal. If it's a part of a word but still refers to an animal (i.e. mockingbird), that's approved too.
