No.

“My sweet songbird– my eternal love – Don’t make such a sad face. When my little songbird gets sad, it feels like my entire world is raining.”
The Duke, known to many as the grim reaper, “Rowan Peruka”. He, the very person who was about to chop off my head last month, managed to become my husband?! He took me in not as a second or third wife, but as the first?!! I’d love it if this was true love, but this is all thanks to a mysterious magic spell. And the magic spell’s power has been weakening to boot–!
A marriage with a bipolar(?) husband where your own life is at stake.

This took me a while to figure out- Do I like this? Do I hate it? What do I think?? Well, I love it. Seriously.. It took me a second or third read to get to that conclusion.

First, its unique when compared to the likes of Survive as the Hero's Wife, or Why she ended up at the Duke's mansion, or Suddenly became a Princess/ Daughter of the Emperor, Doctor Elise, and just so much more. This isn't about reincarnation, or returning to one's original world, changing the original plot of the story; You Are You Doing This Duke? is simply about surviving an unwilling husband that you magically made bipolar! The story is actually funny, not with as much banter back and forth as Raeliana but still, it has many comical aspects. Eren may not be the smarter of the heroines I've read but she's adorable, caring, emotional, timid at the beginning but slowly coming out of her shell thanks to the duke's, her husband's, somewhat support, nagging to act more like a Duchess with dignity or confidence (she nags him too but more to annoy him). She's very self reliant even though she puts herself in certain situation and there are many misunderstandings, but for those outside of the Eren/ Rowan relationship. Although many readers from what I've seen seem to agree with Rowan that his foreign wife is a bit clumsy and a bit dim; I tend to disagree. She isn't educated like a noble (illegitimate low noble daughter treated like a slave or commoner) or knows any etiquette but she's scrappy on certain occasions, hard working. When Rowan gives her assignments, she completes them, and at first, she was self conscious about them, but slowly she started to grow into the responsibilities of a Duchess (whilst still trying to weasel her way out of certain situations) or learning about certain materials, history Rowan tasks her with.

Slowly, they start having feelings and caring for each other, unlike those from the magic spell. A few antagonists are introduced, as well as the mystery of the spell that made the Duke fall in love with his songbird Eren. Eren is also a book worm for weird and romantic books haha.

As I said, a reread was totally and completely worth it.

Do I recommend it?

Absolutely! It's like a magical comical version of Stockholm syndrome!
