How It Fits: On single parent shelf
Loved, loved, LOVED, Fall from India Place. I cried like a baby, railed at the unfairness of it all, but absolutely loved every last minute of it. I just adore this series. I loved seeing Joss and Braden and the gang all grown up as well. It was so good to see them that far into the future.
Hannah and Marco...*sigh*
I was so devastated by all that went down between them, but man did they belong together. I was so happy to see that it worked out.
I can't wait to read Cole's book now. I've got so many others to read but I'm foaming at the mouth to get to it!!!
I have no idea how I sat on this book so long, but I'm glad to have been able to read it. I'm not sure how Samantha Young is going to top this one, but you know, I think I say that every time she comes out with an addition to the series. :)
*5 STARS* if you hadn't already guessed.

I love this series! Her writing is so amazing! It is hard to say each book gets better because the one before it was perfect, but they do get better and the one before is still perfect!

A Nanny for Nate
5 stars.
A year after his husband is killed, Parker is interviewing for a nanny for his 7 year old son, Nate.
Out of the 4 candidates, one is a guy, Jake.
On the day that the nanny is supposed to start, Jake turns up. Unbeknownst to Parker, Nate has swapped the letters and sent the job offer to Jake instead of Parkers choice.
The story that follows is good. Parker trying to move on with his life following the death of his husband, and eventually giving into his growing feelings for Jake.

I loved this series! This was the perfect conclusion to the series. I loved the main story between Murdo and David just as much as the secondary story with Elizabeth. It was great to see how the characters had grown from the first book and had influenced each other.

Review: I can see why everyone mentioned what a downer this book is! The torture and captivity that Lee has to endure is pretty brutal, but the action was so tense that I had to keep reading to find out what happened. I did not really feel the bond between Shaw and Lee so the romance angle wasn't that appealing. I was much more intrigued by the plot and wondering whether anyone was going to make it out alive.

Week #5: Option 2

Rating: 5 stars
Review:
I loved re-reading this so much! The two main characters Brittany and Alex are brilliant. Brittany sounds like the kind of YA/NA heroine that you usually end up hating but her complexity went really deep and she was such an interesting character to read about. Alex was so lovable, I absolutely adored him and how much of a tragic hero he was. His loyalty to his friends and family was heart-wrenching and I loved the dynamics between him and his brothers and reading about their brotherhood in the other two books was brilliant, it was weird reading about his brothers being so young again!

Ashiya - just for rule clarification purposes: you can't fall behind by more than two books which means that you need to knock at least one of these off this coming week. If I hit the theme announcement next week (not today) and you have three books unread, then I will have to remove you :)

Guns n' Boys: Book 1, Part 2
5 stars
WOW, just wow. I loved this part even more than the first.
It concentrates on Seth and Doms relationship more .
Yes, Seth is now married but he was married one day and then Dom and Seth went off on their 'honeymoon' to New York.
I loved how Dom was all possessive with Seth when they went out with Seths friends.
Also liked that we got to see Peter again.
On the downside, I now have to wait until 2015 until the next instalment. I really want to see what happens to these 2.

Review: The DUFF. I've heard so much about this book.
I've always liked cynical, sarcastic heroines and Bianca fits that role perfectly. I also found her very connectable. We all feel like we are the duff sometimes. And I could understand everything she was going through. It was all sooo well written! And Wesley! He completely won me over with that letter he wrote to Bianca at the end. :)

I think they're doing a movie based upon this book.

The only thing I didn't like about this book and the reason I gave it only 3.5 stars, is that it left a few questions hanging. Like the epilogue was missing or something. Other than that it was very nice :)

I really liked this beginning to the McLaughlin series. I liked the characters, their story, and I liked the trope, "second chance love". I felt bad for the circumstances that both Ian and Sarah found themselves in, but I was extremely happy that they found their way back to each other. And, Ian was extremely hot. I am such a sucker for men in kilts. *sigh*
I have some issues with the story though. First, it was too short. I really felt like it needed to be fleshed out a little more. Also, maybe due to it's short length, there were some story lines that seemed to be dropped. Ian's run in with Curt MacGregor seemed to be unfinished. Maybe there will be more with that in the next books?
Anyway, I really came to enjoy the McLaughlin family. I can't wait to see more of them!

Week #6: Book starting with the letter 'G'

Rating: 5 stars
Review:
I randomly came across this book when looking for a book that starts with 'G' and I am so glad I found it because I loved it so much! I thought the way the author dealt with the mental illness was very realistic and she didn't shy away from and finding that in a romance novel is quite rare. I read this in one sitting and it was lovely. I instantly really liked the characters and loved the relationship between the hero and heroine and the epilogue was just the icing on the cake!

Review: I wasn't expecting this one to be so tame! I loved that it was set in England. I kept picturing Sid and Alex as the Simon Pegg/that other guy duo - very funny! I kind of figured out where the story was going early on, but the characters were so cute and sweet that I didn't care. Fun book.

That looks really interesting Ramneek - will keep my eye open for that one :)

Ashiya! I need your 'G' book selection. I'll leave it open for you for the rest of today.

Everyone - don't forget to include the link to the shelf this week if that is how the book qualifies... :) (Just trying to anticipate any issues :)

I was a little apprehensive when I started this book because I had just finished another Kele Moon book with the same premise (young lovers meet, break up, and meet again many years later, not a spoiler, its all in the blurb), but it turned out I had nothing to worry about. Kele Moon is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. I love how she writes her stories, she puts so much emotion in her stories. I have not read a book yet by her that has not made me tear up in places. She can make me love heroes/heroines who I typically don't like. The only thing I wish is that there was more in the conclusion, I feel it kind of just ended and I wanted more. I hope she writes a story about Will and Holly.

The new cat was called last night and I don't want you to get behind.
Next week is the last week and it's a race to the finish, so ideally you need to be fully up to date before next Friday's category is called.
Thanks.

YOWZA this was HOT! So verra, verra, HOT! LOVED Hunter. *sigh* Definitely my kind of Alpha. Lacey pissed my off quite a few times in this book because of what she "assumed" about Hunter, and I'm so glad that he was able to blow her mind and misconceptions time and again. I truly enjoyed this story and devoured it in one sitting. I definitely think it will be one I reach for again when I'm in a certain kind of "mood". ;) Fair warning though: it may not be a good idea to do what I did which was read this when my DH was across the country and I had no access to him. LOL

Jane, thank you so so much for keeping the selection open till today. You guys are so understanding :)
Lisa, I'll definitely be all caught up by the time the next theme is called. :)

How it fits: Starts with G

Maybe you should take a pass for Week #7. I'm not sure if you understand what all caught up means. You still have your week 5 book(single parent), week 6 (starts with G that you just posted), AND week 7( MC in law enforcement that you haven't posted yet).
In order to be all caught up you would have to read and post the review for all three of those books. It sounds like you've got a lot going on.
