Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments Here is the link to my shelf of books in series I need to finish. It would take too long to put all the covers here, but I will post the ones I am currently working on.
https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
Plus, so many of these I read a long time ago and don't really remember, so there will be lots of rereads.

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments I believe I have 69 series to read.

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments Only 69? I'm surprised. O.o

message 5: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments Haha. Probably more but I don't have them listed on Goodreads. I'll have to look at my physical books at home because I'm sure some are missing

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments I'm still surprised it's only 69 on Goodreads. lol. :P

My thoughts as well. :) I wish I only had that many! I am scared what my number will be at the end of the month. And I know I wont be able to get to them all either...

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments There are a lot of series I read 1 or 2 books of but don't really care to finish. I have to really like a book to keep going

I usually keep going. But sometimes do that. If you have no intention to finish, no worries. It just means you know what you like. :)

I usually finish. I think? I actually don't know. I just know I read a lot of series. lol.

This is why I like listing my completed from in progress/want to read. Helps to see how I really am doing.

message 13: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments Yup. It's just a lot of work. Wish I had done this YEARS ago. :P

I know. I started this on fictfact. Lots of work but I loved and now they are gone. :( And what you can export is not the data I needed. So here we are. Goodreads better never close!

message 15: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments I never used fictfact. Sounds like I would have loved it!

If goodreads closes I honestly don't know what I would do. I might have to create a similar site!

message 16: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 2554 comments Mod
You would have. It was so handy!

message 17: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments :(

I miss inkpop. Why do so many sites have to close? 😭

Jamie | 2554 comments Mod
Funding. People getting in over theirs heads or just don't want to keep it up. Sad.

message 19: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments I don't know why, but I have no problem abandoning series. I have several that I read all but the last book of. Why can't I just finish? It's a problem haha

message 20: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments Wow. That's weird. I'm the exact opposite. I almost envy you. lol.

message 21: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments I usually read the first book, then I read how the series ends, then decide if I want to continue. Lol strange I know

message 22: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments So you read the first book and then the last?

message 23: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments No I just look up spoilers lol. I need to know! And if the ending is good, it doesn't ruin it for me

message 24: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments Ah. I don't always mind some spoilers but the ending that would be a big spoiler!

message 25: by Aly (new)

Great month so far! Question out of red queen nevernight and warcross which would you most recommend? All three of those I really want to get into!

message 28: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments That's tough! I'd say Nevernight is my favorite, it's sarcastic and funny. I had an easier time listening to the books than reading them, the narrator is great.

message 29: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments I seriously suck at updating. Let's see what I've made progress on since August.
I finished the main books in the Kit Davenport series with The Alpha’s Pack (Kit Davenport, #6) by Tate James I still need to read the last novella that wraps everything up.
I finished the Enclave series by reading Vanguard (Razorland, #4) by Ann Aguirre
I started Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout and have read books 1 & 2
I'm still reading Morganville Vampires. I am up to book 6 so far.

message 30: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments I have also added 22 books that are part of a series, ugh. I'm sure a lot of them I will not continue past the first book, but you never know!

message 31: by Sans (new)

Sans | 722 comments That happens to me all the time, Aly. I find a new or new-to-me series that sounds promising but the first book is a bit 'NOPE' and I drop the series entirely. Sometimes you get lucky and find something you love, which is always a nice surprise!

message 32: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments Yes! I abandon series a lot. I have to really like it to continue. Plus it helps if I can read them all at once.

message 33: by Sans (new)

Sans | 722 comments That's a major factor for me continuing a series: is more of it already available and can I finish it all at once? I have I have to wait 1-2 years for the next book, chances are I've completely forgotten about it and won't continue reading it.

message 34: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments Exactly!

message 35: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 2554 comments Mod
I sort of abandon a lot....Well they get put aside with a light intention to get back to them but I rarely do. I am trying ot do better at that but it is also why I am waiting on a book series to get at least 2-3 books (if not finished) before I will start. I am tired of spending 1/2 my time re-reading a book because a sequel took too long to come out.

message 36: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments That's a great idea!

message 37: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 2554 comments Mod
It's why when I look for buddy reads you see a lot of books published several years ago lol
