Kristina | 245 comments 1. What challenges and distractions have you faced?
Work. Even if I have the time I've been too tired to read after getting home.

2. What has been your favorite part so far?
I like the daily check ins.

3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've finished 2 books, and I'm more than half-way through a 3rd book.

4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I'm aiming to finish 2 more books.

5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I'm on a team, but I've found it difficult to keep up with the buckets, especially since I'm not reading as quickly as other people. So I've decided not to tailor my reading toward the buckets but to make sure that I'm logging my daily pages, which I wouldn't ordinarily track, and to participate in the daily postings, which I haven't focused on previously but I'm glad I am now.

Marta (gezemice) | 859 comments 1. What challenges and distractions have you faced?
- way more social commitments than normal
- more tired than normal so I needed to nap a lot, too
- bad news at the vet for my rabbit. Kids are heart broken

2. What has been your favorite part so far?
- the games and the team work

3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
- a bit less reading than usual (see #1). It seems every time we have a read-a-thon, it ends up being a read-a-thin - I read less than normal. Things just come up.

4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Read as much as I can

5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
More fun than alone

Ira | 361 comments 1. What challenges and distractions have you faced? I had visitors in the weekend so there was not much time for reading.
2. What has been your favorite part so far? I think getting into reading again, as I have been in a reading slump.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? I've read 2 books for the AtY challenge
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? I would like to finish 2 more book
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? It hasn't really changed a lot, but I am more on the internet straegising and stuff. Maybe I would have picked up other books if it wasn't for the team challenge.

That we're in exam season and i still have two left

2. What has been your favorite part so far?

3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I finished two books (and take into consideration that i dan't finished a book for a month before that)

4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
To read as much as i can

5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
it really hasn't changed in any way because i already went into it knowing it was a team effort and i've always been a team player anyways

Bec | 1343 comments 1. What challenges and distractions have you faced?
Work, sickness, children!!

2. What has been your favorite part so far?
Checking in and reading posts in the group.

3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've read more pages that I would have normally. Finished 2 books.

4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Finish the book I'm reading now.

5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
It's been great for the interaction. I realised the group has been going too fast for me to contribute much to the buckets besides page numbers as one I think will count, by the time I've finished it the bucket is already done.

1. What challenges and distractions have you faced?
Having time to read and trying to keep up with the pace the buckets are being filled.

2. What has been your favorite part so far?
Trying to guess the author

3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
Finished a few books that were on my growing currently reading shelf

4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
To read more and to help guess that 2nd author

5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I've started books and then put them down again as we had filled the task I was reading it for and it didn't fit any remaining tasks.

Holly | 58 comments 1. What challenges and distractions have you faced? With all the comments on the team thread, it's hard to keep up.
2. What has been your favorite part so far? The push to read
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? I'm on my 3rd book in 10 days, that never happens
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? I have 2 more books I want to get through.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? In someways it's made me read more, in others it's slowed down my reading because I want to help fill buckets but others beat me to it, not that it's that big of a deal. I just can't keep up.

Doing fun things in the long weekend and work

2. What has been your favorite part so far?
Reading ;)

Finished two books, started before the read-a-thon but with more than 100 pages left. And I'm now over 300 pages in my current book.

4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Try to finish my more than 700 pages book

5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
It is fun to see the interaction within the team, I waited with finishing my books until we could use them for a bucket.

Tabitha (ellornaslibrary) | 65 comments 1. What challenges and distractions have you faced?
General RL/personal things that take time from me.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
Just having something to help me focus on reading when distracting myself gets tough.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've managed to finish 3 books, 1 being an audiobook w/ 2 stories left in it, and am part way through another audiobook.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Just to finish as many books as I can. Hopefully some that are part of my ATY Reading Challenge and not just part of the reading challenges I have left to do since RL has made me get a bit behind.

message 61: by Desiree (new)

Desiree Germain | 25 comments 1. What challenges and distractions have you faced?
Work and my social life!

2. What has been your favorite part so far?
Getting closer to being ahead on the ATY challenge - I had fallen a bit behind.

3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've finished more books than expected and been able to help my team with their buckets!

4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Finish my current book, and maybe one more (or at least get partway through it)

5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
It's kept my motivation up because I don't want to let them down, and definitely kept me checking in regularly. It's also affected which books I've chose to read.
