Alternate cover of the existing ISBN

Hello,

I have an edition of Animal Farm with the ISBN 0-14-000838-1 / 9780140008388. When I searched the book on Goodreads, it had the different cover than I have. The cover of the edition I possess, with the above provided ISBN, has this cover, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8.... Can an alternate cover be added to this particular ISBN?

Prateek, could you please advise the date/year it was published, number of pages etc. There have been about 6 editions over the years with that isbn.

Hi Sandra, it was published in Penguin Books in 1951. The number of pages are 120 plus some pages about the other books from the publisher and the author. Here is a photo of the colophon from the book, https://imgur.com/a/2EaUQRU

Prateek, your colophon clearly states the last reprint was 1987, which makes sense as the cover you indicated is definitely not 1951.

The 1951 cover is the traditional orange stripe one.

Abebooks has one edition with that ISBN for 1987, with that cover. I've checked the editions already listed in the database and your one doesn't appear to be there.
