I read this book somewhere between 2006 and 2009. The main character's father owns these orchards where these golden apples grow, they may be described as golden apples of the sun, I think it's implied that she and her family are gods or some other kind of magical being. She uses these apples to either travel through time or dimensions, and I think she has to help defend them from thieves. The writing (from what I remember) is really poetic and strange like a mystical fever dream. I don't think the name references the golden apples. It's been haunting me, so I would really appreciate any help!
