How to merge author profiles where the spellings are the same?

Forgive me if I'm missing something obvious, but my understanding from the Librarian Manual is that similarly-named authors are disambiguated using additional spaces between their names (or occasionally with middle initials etc.) However, in all of the above profiles, the name field – and in fact all of the fields – are identical. None of them are Goodreads Author profiles.

I'm pretty sure that all four profiles relate to the same person, since profiles 2–4 only have one title each, all of them and most of the titles under profile 1 relate to audiobook narration, and a Google search only turns up one Ralph Lister, an actor/narrator.

In light of the above, should the profiles be merged? And how can I do it?

That's strange.

When I hit "edit profile" and then "save" the system wants to combine the profiles with the, I assume, correct Ralph Lister.

So, I guess, they should be combined.
Not sure why the system didn't do it on itself.

Those identical profiles are not created by users, but always created by automatic imports. For some reason those imports can make that happen sometimes.
