Netgalley and Reviews

Thanks for sharing. Netgalley can 'net' a lot of reviews. I had my son's books on there, although I put them up with the help of a professional publicist. She sent it out to her mailing list (from Netgalley) as well and four years later, reviews still strickle in saying they got the book from Netgalley.

Personally I find out about new books through book bloggers and a lot of them get their review copies from Netgalley. However it is expensive for indie authors ($450 per book for a six month listing). Saying that, my indie publisher has established a NetGalley co-op program. For $55 a month, members will gain access to NetGalley and receive promotional support from them. I thought this is a good idea as $55 per money is more reasonable and you can choose how long you want to be in it.
