Finished - (view spoiler)[ Uh, ok, wow. Alright, we knew that there was a vampire after her and all, but I didn't see the whole breeding program angle coming at all! I thought maybe they just wanted her blood to become stronger or something, but ew, keeping her mom locked up just to bring a kid into the world? And I nearly cried when Talon was telling her as he died.

I'm so hooked! Will she and her guys be able to move out of her uncle's place (because that guy is a dick and they don't need to be around that static - although, then she wouldn't have the sisters.....unless they went with her and left her uncle high and dry! I'm getting ahead of myself). Will everyone rally and go after the nest and try to rescue her mom and dad and anyone else that survived? Will she have to go to school? So many questions! OK, I really want to dive into book 2 like NOW. Are you up for continuing? Book 3 comes out in a few days too. Can we switch this thread over to a series one?

I'm still uncomfortable with the fact that the council can force her to bond with whoever they want. That's icky. I thought she was supposed to be caster royalty? You'd think she would be allowed to throw her own weight around. (hide spoiler)]

As far as Vaughn goes - if he needs to be filled with magic - can't she just put some of hers into him, like a healing? I'm a little surprised no one has suggested it. "But oh look, something shiny just swam over the wall!" - let's go visit the Sentinel City!

I'm hooked enough that I will likely read the next one. Mostly, because between the book they should find in Adriel's room and the city, we should learn more about what it means for her to be a Sentinel, right? (hide spoiler)]
