See, this is exactly why I love being a part of this. I have been wanting to read this book for so long & for one reason or another, it just keeps getting put off. Thanks for the pick, Paula! I’m so glad to finally be reading it!

Cool! Though, I think I need a re-read of the last book. So many characters get confusing. I wonder if there is a wiki for the characters?

message 56: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Leslie, I kid you not, I actually have two 5* amongst your pfm. I'm gonna go with the one I think you'll like the most vs what everyone loved. :D As much as I loved Binding 13, I think you'll like this more.
Night Shifts Black (NSB, #1) by Alyson Santos

I totally understand. I've read the whole series and I've already forgotten a lot from the middle books. I still remember the first and last books pretty well. The first one will always be my favorite of the series!

The first one was super memorable. The second was as far as action, but all the people introduced makes it hard to keep track. I did find a wiki for the characters, though. It'll be my go to. lol

Thankfully, she doesn't introduce useless characters, just a lot in the second book due to the nature of what's going on.

Melinda' you had some some great choices. Many that I haven't read, but are on my tbr. It was an easy pick, though. I just read this book as my PFM last month and its one of my top favorite of 2019! If not, THE top fave. What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon Btw, if you enjoy audios at all, it was also good.

That's what I hear! Thanks, Judy. I actually have the paperback sitting on my nightstand right now. I've been meaning to get to it, but a little PFM motivation is just what I needed.

It's such a good book, and I know what Leslie DOESN'T like as far as books I love, so that's why I picked NSB. So much so good, and it's stuff she likes in books!

If you're okay with a large dose of historical fiction (20th Century,) I can't recommend this one enough. Btw, sorry about my propensity to call you Jean. You'd think I didn't know how to read and my GR status was a big farce! 🤪
