You were so right that I'd enjoy the St. Cyr series! I can't wait to read more!
As for I Like to Watch, I added it to my TBRs when it popped up among your updates in May or June. I'm so glad I read it! So, thank you!
Her book works for both prompts: a book about the TV industry and a book about TV's impact on society.

This is what I love about challenges. Books about TV would not likely make it to the top of my TBR (well, they probably wouldn't be on my TBR) but I'm sure both books I have for those prompts will be interesting reading. And if you found a great read, too - even better!

β8. Read a book in which the main character works in the TV industry or is a journalist: I've Got You Under My Skin

The protagonist, Laurie Moran, is an award-winning TV producer. Laurie and her TV crew have just received the green light to produce a new "cold case" series.
PROGRESS: 8/8
Challege completed!

Woooo, gratz on finishing this challenge, Carmen!!! π€Έπ½ββοΈ

Crystal, you were the first to finish this challenge so it's nice to see you still involved. π

Congratulations on finishing challenge! π€Έπ½ββοΈ
I just happened to look at your original post and noticed that you're done!

3. Read a book about the TV/cable industry:
βοΈStealing the Show: How Women Are Revolutionizing Television (Joy Press)
Progress 10/12 books (9/10 tasks)

I read a second book from prompt #8. The Night Visitor is a thriller about a history professor who also works as a TV presenter.
8. Read a book in which the main character works in the TV industry or is a journalist:
βοΈThe Night Visitor (Lucy Atkins)
Progress: 11/12 (9/10 tasks)

Yay, I completed my last task and completed the challenge!
6. Read a book by a small-screen celebrity.
Year of Yes (Shonda Rhimes)
Reading this memoir by the showrunner of Grey's Anatomy makes me want to finish watching the series.
Progress: 13/12 books (10/10 tasks)

1. Read a book that's been adapted to a small-screen series Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch
2. Read a book that's been adapted into a made-for-the-small-screen movie Flowers for Algernon
3. Read a book about the TV/cable industry
4. Read a book about TV/cable impact on society
5. Read a book that features televised broadcasts of any kind Becoming
6. Read a book written by a small-screen celebrity
7. Read a book that you wish would be a TV series
8. Read a book in which the main character works in the TV industry or is a journalist

As usual, I'll be going down to the wire to finish my challenge..."
This challenge definitely included, for me, books that had not been on my radar previously. I'm glad that I noticed when you added I Like to Watch to your TBRs.
Also, I'm starting your Magical Bakery series next month, so there's another plus! :D

Same - lots of new and interesting books. Hope you like Magical Bakery - a cozy but with witches!

Yay, you're done! Congratulations, Sarah! π€Έπ½ββοΈ

Woo, congrats on finishing! π€Έπ½ββοΈ
Haha, I was guessing that you'd read Mary Alice Monroe's The Beach House (which I've never read) for prompt #2 (Read a book that's been adapted into a made-for-the-small-screen movie). XD

Please pat yourself on the back, whether you met your reading goal or not, because this was not a easy challenge.
Personally, I had NEVER read a book about the TV industry before and I read three for this challenge, LOL!
Best wishes to everyone in the last quarter of 2019!

Oshizu - The Simon St. Cyr books would make a GREAT television series! I have the Nussbaum in my stack for September so I'm glad to see you liked it so much.
