A conversation with Dr Ankita Sapan Marjadi, author of Knock Knock, let’s talk, published by Bluerose Publishers 1. If you had to describe yourself in three words, which words would you choose? Hardworking, Patient and Dynamic. 2. What is the importance of writing in your life? For me writing is my oasis in the desert of thoughts. There are so many things going in my head and writing gives it a structure and I feel that if my writing is able to create some difference in at least a few people’s life the effort is worth it!
3. Tell me the most memorable moment during the process of your writing. There are many moments as it has been extremely taxing throughout. My hands are full during the day with patients, my girls and other household tasks. The late nights have been a witness to all the efforts, the array of emotions, hard work which has been put in. One particular person which kept me on my toes to keep it going was my friend Priya who has actually taken a feedback that how much have you written, how many chapters left. It amused me at times but at the same time she was the one who has pushed me to work hard and complete it. A hustler by heart: I guess all of us have dreams to pursue But in the hustle bustle of life our dreams are long lost or forgotten At times our dreams get an answer of I will get back to you soon At times our dreams get an answer of I will do it later At times our dreams get an answer I am too tired today At times our dreams get an answer as of now my hands are full But this book made me realize that if you wish to reach somewhere You need to step out of your comfort zone. The process of writing it and getting it published Was one such journey to think outside the box, get out of your comfort zone and get things going. As it is I am a hustler always by heart. 4. Who do you attribute your success to? My family both my parents and in-laws have been a constant support. Working at odd hours was possible because of the immense support of my family members. My husband who is my pillar, my strength, my friend, love, philosopher and guide who is always there to motivate and understand me and he is the one who stands by me for whatever I do is my greatest support. My girls their love has given me strength to do my best. My bestie Priya is one person for which all definitions of friendship fall short. I have just written the book, she has made this vision into reality. A few names more to keep it short as these are people who are there for me just a call away are Richa and Khushboo. A loving family and wonderful friends is all one needs to be successful obviously with the attributes of hard work, patience and determination.
