Christopher Galaska | 3 comments When I was in middle school I read a book series about three friends or brothers who played baseball. Each book cataloged a different era in their experiences: college baseball, spring training, minor leagues, big leagues. I can’t find anything that seems like what I’m looking for on Google or Amazon. Please help!

Christopher, around what year did you read these books? A range of years is fine. This will help narrow down the search.

What are time period(s) and location(s) in the series? What are the boys' ages?

Christopher Galaska | 3 comments I read these books in 1998 or so. I don’t know if they were new then. The boys in the books were in their late teens to early 20s. The books seemed to me like they took place in the late 80s or early 90s, but almost all of the stories took place on or around the baseball field, so I can’t be sure.

James | 3 comments I think we are looking for the same book series. I read them when I was in grade school (mid to late 80s). The first book was about the three friends winning the state championship, and the rest of the series was about them making their way through the minors and getting into the big leagues. I think the three friends were a pitcher, catcher, and second baseman (?).

James | 3 comments Found them! Hopefully Christopher is looking for the same books. The "Rookies" series by Mark Freeman: a series of six books about the Rosemont Rockets--pitcher Roberto "Magic" Ramirez, second baseman Glen "the Scrapper" Mitchell, and home run king Dave "DT" Green.

Christopher Galaska | 3 comments That’s it! I stopped after Big League Break because I moved to a different state. But that’s definitely it. Thank you!
