Has anyone Read ghost of the shadow market and noticed inconsistencies between tham and the infernal devices?? ** spoilers**

I’m Reading them now and some of the stories don’t make sense like Tessa asking Jem to try and find out who her dad is then him being shocked that he is a greater Demon, when mortmain already told Tessa who her dad was and that he is a greater Demon in clockwork Princess so why has she asked gem to even look and why is he shocked? There are other inconsistencies to maybe because Cassandra Clare didn’t write these books alone

I think in the infernal devices Mortmain only claimed it was a greater demon or just a powerful one. And now in tGotSM she has confirmation that Mortmain spoke the truth and she wants to find out the name of the demon due to James's powers.
